best update!

Sammy update 8/28/13: Samuel got moved to a new room today which was at my request. We now have a private room which is larger than some hotel units where I've stayed! It's also still right by the nurses station. Sam did quite a bit of talking during OT today, along with lots of walking, standing, stretching & reaching. & some push ups! In PT it was all about stairs & walking, but he'd gotten quite tired out. He is resting now, & his therapy day is done. He looks awesome in the shorts that were a gift from Aunt Melissa. Sam aced his coma recovery test. He got the highest score that his PT has ever seen! You could say he's out of the coma. But we have a long road ahead.

    I just read the article in the Saratogian about Sammy. Has anyone considered creating an on line donation website. I believe this young man story would go viral and donations to his rehab and medical expenses would soar. I don't know Sammy, but his story hit home today. Prayers for Sammy, his family and friends that Sammy is up playing his music again soon.

    Thank you for the kind words Mary Beth Lindsay. There was talk about setting up a paypal for the Samuel Yager Fund but that's all completely out of my expertise.
